In a bold move, Voodoo Fest has decided to allow people to experience their festival on the exact weekend of Halloween this year. This will be the first time that I remember it falling on the same weekend. The official dates for the 2009 Voodoo Music Experience are October 30th through November 1st. This news comes via Voodoo's Twitter. I feel especially bad this year for the late bands on Saturday and the early bands on Sunday. I felt attendance was down last year and I don't think competing with one of the best free events in the city is the wisest of moves. They will have to bust out a Bonnaroo type lineup. But, at least now it will only be one weekend of madness, instead of two. What are your thoughts on it being on Halloween weekend?
