Get to know White Rabbits

I am finally starting to get in sync after Voodoo this past weekend. It has been tough. Since I landed on Monday I have worked non-stop, and went to the Yankees game last night. Jealous? Well I did spend some time with Static yesterday by going through the hundreds of press releases that I got in the last week. You have no idea how hard it is to listen to a lot of bands that you wonder how they even afford press, or better yet, why they waste money and time on it. After a while I start to get frustrated with music. Then a band jumps out that gives you hope.
The first one to do that yesterday was this band, White Rabbits out of New York. They claim to be one of the hardest working indie bands over the last 2 years. They may need to talk to the Black Lips about that credit; but regardless, these guys have been popping up a lot lately from Jimmy Kimmel last week as well as playing a lot of festivals from Lollapalooza to Glastonbury. This single sounds really similar to fellow Brooklynites the Walkmen (who they have toured with recently). This is definitely a band you should keep an eye on in the coming year.
