I am just settling back into life here in NYC and I wanted to let you know what I did this past weekend.
Voodoo started late for me. I rushed right in from the airport, got my wristband and ran over to catch the Generationals only to find out for the third year in a row the people responsible for press messed up my credentials, so I wasn't allowed in the pit to shoot stills so here are the photos that Peter and I got from far away.
At this point Jared, Peter and I went to try and figure out what we needed to do to get the right credentials.
There I am bitching to Jared about how I don't have enough time to walk the mile and a half away to get to the press check in before our Glasgow interview, so I decide to head to the press area to find free booze and Glasgow.
These guys were great. It was so good to just sit down with a New Orleans band and shoot the shit. I haven't done that in a while. After this interview and 2 vodka on the rocks I caught a ride with Michael from Big Rock Candy Mountain who drove me in his Golf Cart to the press check in where I took care of my lack of a photo pass issue. We then rushed back for Cool Kids.
I then moved back to bull shit and dance.
Here is Peter dancing.
How lucky was I that this guy stood in front of me. Then came the rain, so Peter and I decided to enjoy more free booze and bull shitting with Robots.
Then off to Justice.
After this I bailed and went off to the Park the Van 5 year anniversary
(pictures from Day 2 of the Park the Van Anniversary). Day 2 started with me going to Dante's with my Learning Secret brothers. I then got dropped off at Voodoo around 4 and this day was all business. As you can tell by this photo.
As we were talking smack and drinking redbull and vodkas in the press tent, the Vettes came up and wanted to know if we wanted to do an interview. Of course we said yes.
Such amazing down to earth people. Didn't know much about them. Luckily, Bonnie went to school with them so she prepped me. After this we waited on Soul Sister who was having problems parking and she had to cancel on us. We will have to get a word with her the next time I am in New Orleans. After that I went and did Halloween and on Sunday I did family stuff. So, that was my Voodoo 2009. Till next year. Click
