First off, happy birthday to my dad. He is awesome! So, Kittens Ablaze, out of Brooklyn, are an interesting gumbo of musicians who have a diverse background from classical, folk-punk, alt rock and metal and it shows in their sound. The band has received mention in Vice Magazine, Rolling Stone, New York Magazine, Paste Magazine, Oh My Rockness, Brooklyn Vegan, The Music Slut, Ear Farm, and The New York Times. They have an Islands feel to them (not the location, the band) and their lyrics invoke imagery which is something I love from lyrics. Here are two MP3s for you on this Who Dat kinda morning.
