In this world of music it is all about feeling unique in what you are listening to. Like, you are the only person in the world that knows about something. It is a warm feeling in your stomach that makes you feel special. It is something about Americans, maybe. We have no more new territory to be the first to discover so our biggest discoveries these days is the art we surround ourselves with and we all want to be the first ones to be inspired by it. It is such a crazy feeling.

These guys were sent to me by our editor here on the blog, Amy. Of course Stereogum would have found them first. They get all the good press releases! Any way, Sleigh Bells are a totally refreshing sound. They are very The Blow in their production with a mix of the Ting Tings. It is a two person group with Derek Miller doing an amazing job crafting the songs and Alexis Krauss adding vocals.
