NOLA news and notes - 12/04/09

Haven't had one of these in a while, but I have two things to pass on to you.

Foburg is now allowing bands to apply to it's 3 day music festival the weekend before SXSW in New Orleans. So if you are a band and want to play in New Orleans before heading to Austin, head to their website to apply. I will be doing a showcase there as well, so if you know me personally holler at me. This event is being put on by the New Orleans Indi Rock peeps and will be on the weekend of March 12th to 14th, taking place mostly on Frenchmen street. More details to come soon.

50 PEOPLE 1 QUESTION
This is a film I have been hearing a lot about. It is premiering this Sunday at the CAC (900 Camp). Our friends with Smiley With a Knife and A Living Soundtrack helped with the actual soundtrack of the film. Here is a piece Smiley With a Knife did on them making the soundtrack. The premiere is $12. This admission cost will also allow you to see live performances from the bands in the soundtrack including the before mentioned. I couldn't find when it starts, all I heard was after the Saints game, so Who Dat?

And here is the trailer to that said film
