I wanted to start yesterday with a post every day about all the bands leading up to our Foburg Showcase on Saturday. I failed yesterday because I got lazy. Anyway, my girlfriend said I blog too much and need to chill out. Maybe after SXSW. I have too much fun doing this.
Caddywhompus is an old story to this blog. I fell in love with the boys the first time I heard them in the back yard of Handsome Willies for an after party for the first NOIRC fests after party. So old school. Regardless, their energy coupled with Chris' voice and lyrics have made us at Static invest more then blog time on them. They are the second band we signed to our management label and the longest running. We are so proud to work with them and think a lot of great things are in their future!
As for this Saturday, this will be the single release party for the first release off their brand new label, Chinquapin Records. The single will shortly be turned into a split 7 inch with Sings (who will also be playing that night) that will be on vinyl in a few weeks. We hope to see you out there! This MP3 is off their 2008 album, EPs.
