The next band that is playing at our showcase this weekend at our Foburg Showcase is Smiley With A Knife out of New Orleans. Another band I go way back with. Patrick went to Loyola at the same time as me and I swear he was in my Jazz History class. I also remember going to Shilo on Tchoupitoulas for the House Music nights that my boys in Sugar Cane Records used to put on. I think he was working there. Enough about that, lets talk about the band.
Smiley With a Knife is one of the hardest working bands that I know of in New Orleans. They are constantly on the web doing their social networking thing from their Twitter to their regular YouTubes. They have been pivotal in making instrumental rock a mainstay in New Orleans and I don't see it changing anytime soon because of them.
